Parking will be at the Glacier View School located at 65975 S Wolverine Cir, Chickaloon, AK 99674. This concert is on the Matanuska Glacier and is accessible via helicopter only.
For those of you not wanting to make the drive all the way from Palmer, a bus will be available. It will pick up at the park n ride lot located on Trunk Road near the Parks Highway. Check back for pickup and drop off times. We are working on the scheduled times.
It is Alaska. If the weather doesn’t allow safe helicopter flights to and from the Glacier, the concert will be held next to the Matanuska Glacier as a “Glacier View Concert.”
Coffee, hot cocoa, and water will be available on the glacier at the concert. Patriot BBQ will be at the staging area and offering food for purchase before and after the concert.
This is a remote concert. There will be bucket toilets with privacy tents on the glacier. Hand sanitizer will be provided as well. We pride ourselves on leaving no trace and everything will be flown off the ice after the concert.
There will be no alcohol at the concert. It is a remote location and on the ice. We want people to be safe and have a good time
The concert will be 90 minutes of music.
Dress in layers and warm footwear. Closed-toe shoes are required. Boots are recommended. Bring hats and gloves. Remember, you will be on a glacier for the concert.
Folding camp chairs will be provided for you on the glacier.
We will have an EMT on site with a medical kit. The helicopters will remain on site for the concert and can evacuate someone in an emergency.
The concert will take place from 5-6:30 pm. Please be at the Glacier View School parking lot NO LATER than 3:30 in order to make sure we get everyone shuttled to the glacier in time for the concert.
